B2B fragrance oil applications

Fragrance development starts with the application.

Different product bases ask different things of a fragrance. Explore the three core families, then share your base, use conditions, and target market for a focused discussion.

Practical questions

Choosing an application route.

The same fragrance idea can behave differently in different delivery systems; start with the format you intend to sell.

How do I choose between fabric, air and home, and personal care?

Choose the family that matches the finished product, not only the scent style. A laundry powder, reed diffuser, and body lotion expose a fragrance to very different bases and use conditions.

What should I share to narrow the right format?

Tell us the base or carrier, intended fragrance dosage, target market, scent direction, and the conditions under which the finished product will be tested.

Can I compare several fragrance directions?

Yes. Shortlisting and sampling can be discussed against an agreed brief. The number and format of samples, timing, and freight are confirmed for the specific project.

What is the starting order quantity?

Orders start from 5 L per fragrance, subject to formula and project requirements. State the total volume, requested pack size and destination in the brief. Sample arrangements are confirmed separately; a package count should not be treated as a volume without its fill size.

Application and supply details

Specify what you want to source.

An application name tells us where a fragrance will be used. The supply brief tells us which material, scent direction and packaging you need. Keep these decisions separate when comparing samples or requesting a quotation.

Fragrance material or finished product?

This site focuses on B2B fragrance oil development and supply. A detergent, candle or shampoo is the intended application, not automatically the item being quoted. For diffuser and air-care projects, state whether you need fragrance concentrate or a prepared liquid so the scope can be confirmed.

Scent direction and application fit

Describe the scent with generic notes, the desired character and a benchmark you are permitted to share. Examples for an air-care brief include vanilla or sandalwood; candle briefs can include lavender or fruit notes. A familiar scent description is a starting point, not a claim that one formula suits every application.

Bulk supply and buyer-label requirements

If you need buyer-label fragrance oil, include fill quantity, container preferences, label artwork requirements and expected order volume. State the quantity and unit explicitly. Packaging availability, artwork approval, sampling and lead time are confirmed in the quotation; finished-product manufacture is a separate scope.
